New for 2013, Rocky is introducing a series of footwear and clothing specifically designed to meet the needs of bowhunters. The new “BroadHead” line consists of a 6″ hiker and a 16″ boot, both of which feature an innovative VapourFlex zip-up shell that is breathable, incredibly stretchable, and waterproof. The boots also feature Rocky’s Climate IQ technology to regulate temperature, moisture, and scent. I am really excited to see this type of design come to market. In fact, it is something that I have wanted to see a hunting brand bring to market for a while now. The athletic comfort, aggressive styling, and versatility of these designs should make this new footwear a big hit.

The apparel pieces in Rocky’s BroadHead line were also quite impressive. The combination of Silent Hunter suede and VapourFlex fabric make the jacket and pants incredibly quiet, while also providing impressive stretch to aid in mobility. The convertible jacket features a clever zipper system which allows you to easily convert it to a stand-alone vest. The pants have targeted insulation in key areas, such as the seat and below the knees. In addition to the outwear pieces, the BroadHead line also contains four-way stretch performance shirts and gloves. All of these items feature Rocky’s VapourFlex fabric, Climate IQ for temperature regulation, Scent IQ for scent control, and come in Realtree’s new Xtra camouflage.
