A lot of planning, practicing, and preparation goes on in the off-season. I have scouted lands, hung cameras, and shot hundreds of arrows. I have dreamed, day-dreamed, and talked entirely too much about it. I have written post after post, article after article. All of that has now come down to this…opening day is just a few weeks away!
It has been almost nine months since I have had a great day chasing whitetail with my bow. Nine looong months. As much fun as the offseason brings in terms of practicing, preparing, and anticipation, quite honestly, I am sick of it. I am done thinking about it, talking about it, and writing about it. I just want it to be here! I can’t wait to watch the sunrise roll over the hills as I sit in my treestand on a cool fall morning. I can’t wait to watch the woods come alive, and witness just how wonderful God’s creation is. I can’t wait to see what this season brings! Let’s do this!
