What a weird title, right?
I lost access to a good amount of hunting land this year, and yet my hopes are still high. I have identified some promising spots on public land, and I still have a small spot of private land that is close to my house. I am still hoping for two things: 1) another piece of private land that I may have access to, and 2) drawing a managed hunt here in MO. I really think this is all going to work out well! Speaking of hope, here is another reason…
Remember that small piece of private land that I just mentioned? Yeah, good. I checked my camera last weekend and it looks like I have a dandy buck hanging around the area. He doesn’t appear to be on the property full-time right now, but I think the only thing keeping him away at times is the lack of water. I think he will be around more when the weather starts to cool down and the acorns drop.
Speaking of trail camera photos….
My good buddy Will from The Will to Hunt has an awesome contest going on right now. Gather up some trail camera photos and submit them for a chance to win some great prizes. To get all of the details, check out the contest page. Who doesn’t want to win gear from all of these great folks?…
