Each weekend I try to get outdoors for something, anything. The hustle of the week just leaves me longing for some fresh air!
This weekend I was able to get in a 2.5 mile trail run at Mastadon. The 18 degree temperatures and icy conditions made the rocky and hilly sections very interesting! Getting to see 5 deer was a nice bonus for getting at it early on a Saturday morning.
Saturday afternoon I got down to the range to sight in my new bow sight, a Trophy Ridge Micro Hitman 5. I will probably do a full review on this later, but so far I am very impressed. The 0.19 pins are a huge improvement over the 0.29 fibers I was using, and the front fiber ring makes the pins super bright. The micro adjustments proved to be a great feature for sighting in. I am looking forward to getting my bow setup tweaked even more this off season. The to-do list includes: a new d-loop (lowering my nock point), a new stabilizer, and possibly switching to 125g broadheads.
