Hiking the Chubb Trail

June 26, 2010 / Leave a Comment

I did a quick 5-6 mile hike at the Chubb trail this morning.  The Chubb trail is definitely the best trail in the St. Louis metro area.  I have been there countless times for both hiking and mountain biking.  The trail is rugged, twisty, rocky, rooty, and hilly, which makes for a good hike and a very tough ride on the mountain bike.  There were some new sections of trail that were pretty disappointing however.  It looks like there is an effort to bypass some of the toughest parts of the trail with new easier approaches…pretty freaking retarded if you ask me.  I sure hope they keep those old approaches open or this trail will quickly lose its interest to me.
